If your bra isn’t fitting quite right, not to worry. Here’s how to find the right size:
First, identify how the band feels on the loosest hook.
Too loose: go down a band size.
Too tight: go up a band size.
Perfect fit: don't change the band at all!
Second, identify how the cups feel.
Cups gape: go down a cup size.
Cups overflow: go up a cup size.
Perfect fit: don't change the cups at all!
- Your band fits, but your cup doesn’t: You’ll need to go up or down a cup size.
- Your cup fits, but your band doesn’t: You’ll need to go up or down a band size AND adjust your cup size. Remember that as band size goes up, the equivalent cup size goes down, and vice versa. So if a 34C band is too tight, but the cups fit well, try a 36B.
- Neither your band or cup fit: If both are too big, go down a band size. If both are too small, go up a band size. Remember that by changing band size, the cup size will also naturally adjust. So if a 32D band and cups are both too small, try a 34D. You’ll be getting both a larger band and cup (even though the letter is the same) that way.
